Alberto
M. Raso is born in Biella in 1941.He graduated summa cum laude from
the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Genoa in 1966. He has been entitled
to the specialities in Angiology and Vascular Surgery at the School
of Prof. E. Malan.
Between 1968 and 1980 he has been Assistant Professor in General
Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Turin. Visiting Professor
of Vascular Surgery, in 1972, in the University of Cincinnati (Ohio).
Professor of Surgical Semeiology and Vascular Surgery, University of
Turin from 1980. Actually Clinical Chief of Vascular Surgery in the
Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Turin and Director
of the School of Specialization in Vascular Surgery in the same University.
Member of many Italian and foreign Societies of Angiology and Vascular
Surgery, he is Author and coauthor of more then 250 papers published
in Italy, Europe and USA. He is author of 2 books and 5 monographies,
all regarding various fields of vascular pathologies. In 1999 he won
“Ruggieri” prize of Italian Society of Surgery.
