Oliviero Beha

March ended with the Pope's message about justice, interpreted and made instrument of in different ways: an anathema against judges? Just a recall to ethics values the justice anyhow lies on? Or something else? Bah.... surely I can only bear without fairing of be proved wrong that His Holiness did not mentioned Cardinal Giordano, the Archbishop of Naples, under investigation for heavy crimes against patrimony as usury and similar.  Further, it does not seem to me that usually media help public opinion in making approaches, questions, underlining analogies: maybe it concerns an already anachronistic sport.

Let's take an event, or better the Event related to the Pope still last March, the travel to Terra Santa, a real planetary event. We've used for it - taking into account all information means, world scale, so that it is not really thinkable that a terrestrial could not have heard anything about, even vaguely.
Jesus Christ was a Hebrew, killed by Hebrews, it seems to me that there's no matter about. But he was not killed all Hebrews, neither today nor by those times. As not all Hebrew are good or evil, ingenious or silly, etc.- The Pope asks forgiveness for the whole persecutions the Jews underwent, and of which the Catholic Church was responsible along centuries, directly or not.
That's ok. But the reasons why the elected population (must I put it into quotation marks, like that: “elected population “? But if I do I will show a different attitude toward this matter, or it would imply irony, or it would be a quotation whose origin I must burden) has been persecuted are historically several and complex, even if things start just from there, from the deicide of the Sun.

Really today the Christian Church asks forgiveness in order to face, in better conditions, a millennium that looks hard: Islamism seems materially better-disposed toward the “back-crusades” they fear, a good God, a love God, a God consumed in peace and on the global market does not seems able to resist more than so much to the war attacks of a religion as the Mohammedan's one.

Well then, the more surly and active God of the Hebrews seems to have better resources to face the risky climate.
But John Paul II cannot speak clearly this way, and we, once metabolised the “historical visit to Terra Santa” can master it and expel it from our mind and our heart, as we do for almost everything and so quick.

The Jesus killing is an icon, the Hebrews' fame, an icon, their persecution, an icon, the Holocaust, an icon, the ask for forgiveness by the Pope, an icon, and the visit of the pope to Jerusalem: all icons that are not developed, explained and really communicated to world citizens, as just it is talked about justice but not about Cardinal Giordano, at least not at the same time. And so where would information and culture be?
