| . | The Swedish pharmaceutical company Q-Med
launched “Restylane”, a product that is the synthetic copy of a hyaluronic
acid secreted by the body and that keeps tissues soft and relaxed. Rengt
Agerup, the company's founder, maintained that the product might prolong
the tissues' “texture” up to four years.
The experts who carried out the experimentation have more “cautious” opinions and claim its effect would be more limited as far as the time is concerned. Possible contraindications triggered by a repeated and/or prolonged use are still unknown, however. |
