Born in Catania
in 1930, he graduated in 1952 in Medicine and Surgery; in 1955 he obtained a
specialization in Otorhinolaryngology at Bologna University. As from 1966, he
managed the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic of the Faculties of Medicine and
Surgery of Bologna, Cagliari and Naples (I e II Faculty) University. He currently
holds the position of Director of the Department of Clinical Pathology,
Clinical Otorhinolaryngology and Phoniatrics at the II Department of Medicine
and Surgery of Naples University. He has been the
chairman of the Societą Italiana di Foniatria (Italian Association of Phoniatrics)
(1983-85), of the Societą Italiana di Otorinolaringoiatria Pediatrica
(Italian Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology) (1988-91), of the
Societą Italiana di Otorinolaringoiatria e Chirurgia cervico-facciale
(Italian Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery)
(1994-96). He is the author
of over 300 scientific writings, and a member of the editorial board of
numerous scientific journals dealing in Otorhinolaryngology. He has presented numerous official papers at
national and international congresses. |
