Anticaries toothpaste: is it the end of the business?

.  A researcher from the London Guy’s Hospital Dental School claimed that there is a vaccine obtained from the tobacco plant that might ultimately defeat tooth decay. A few drops on teeth every month, in fact, would be enough to fend the disease off.
In 1997 the toothpaste industry's turnover in Italy was equal to 721 billion lira for toothpaste alone (UNIPRO estimate). Changing the image of products that have been promoted for years (with heavy budgets) as fighting decay will be a point and an issue that producing companies will considerably have to cope with, from Pasta del Capitano to Clorodont, from Colgate to Durbans (just to name a few).
