The remarks Cardinal Ersilio Tonini, deep expert of bioethics, international level, provoked following interventions.

Tonini highlighted that the need of a “communication ethics” underlining that the mass media moral subjugation is not only the one that provokes crime, but affects everybody and reflects over our daily behaviours.

Eligio Resta, a member of the magistrates’ governing council asserted that our legislation is already enough rich and adding new laws, as for example the crime of moral subjugation, will be useless. Genina Iacoboni underlined the families’ powerlessness in front of the abuse young psychological victims. What must they do to defend their sons if neither law protect them?

It’s neither worthy the thesis according to which it will be enough to enforce the circumvention against a facile person law; indeed to qualify a subject as a victim of moral subjugation as a ‘no compos mentis” means as well giving him decline of social value.

Of high relief the speech of Luigi Lanza, judge of the court of appeal of Venice, who dealt with the broadcasting of criminal cases, so popular over last years. These were some of the matters during the meeting, a prestigious frame that sponsored Sanitade.com, the new portal of the international health, coming from the twenty-year publishing experience of Leadership Medica. Gianfranco Caradonna, member of the board of the publishing house Cesil and mass communications expert, explained the contents and outlooks (already advanced in the last issues of Leadership Medica and Leader for Chemist).

The first target is that to ensure the web site quality, and so establish a real interaction between users and specialists, between who supplies information and who needs it, and mainly to assert the ethic side of information and this way contributing to educate the new generations that will enter the health field.

It may not lack, during a so taxing and serious event for its scientific range, a diverting evening, hold at the Great Hall of the La Sapienza University.

It was the opportunity to award the Up-to-date 2000 prize, sponsored by Leadership Medica.

Genina Iacoboni presented it to Monsignor Lorenzo Minuti - president of the GRIS, group of researcher and information about sects - Corrado Manni, the Anaesthesiology and Reanimation Director of the Catholic University of Rome, and Vincenzo Mastronardi.

The Psychiatry Department of the University awarded the Psyche Prize to Cardinal Ersilio Tonini.
