The consolidated net benefits amount to 1.239 billions. Increasing the operative profitability that has grown from 5.2% in the first six months in '97 to 6.4% in'98 and the consolidated result ante taxation (before the extraordinary components) that highlights a growth of 18%, establishing at 67,9 billions. The bettered portfolio structure has allowed to keep substantially unchanged the operative result in absolute terms, notwithstanding the participation cession it has occurred. Sorin Biomedica denies rumours concerning the cession by SNIA and confirms instead of being considering the possibility to extend its own activities, without excluding those involving the exchange of share participation.
