And suddenly it was the colour: splendid and magic. Giorgio Fersini painting is joy and love too. That feeling it burns out when the sun first arise on the beloved land. The painting of this young artist of the Salento can be referred to the historical example of so many artist of the Puglia who loved their land, but the Fersini's creating joins together the “ancient “ lesson and the modern meaning of art. There is something “new” in his expression which since the commandy of chromatism and the “edge” of landscapes makes him modern. Indeed the danger for a young artist is that of lay on previous lessons.
Fersili avoid it with the thorough knowledge of his job. A help to his pictorial investigation comes to him from the marvellous landscape round him and which allows him to dive in the endless beauty of nature. Fersini was born in Tricase (in the province of Lecce); a land vibrating of artistic interest; remember the splendid Lecce. And for whom who loves to dedicate oneself to bring about the emotions arising from a landscape like the Salento,the Fersini's painting has been the most interesting discovering along these last years. For these artists it can be done approaches to the great impressionists; but in his works, as I have already mentioned, it is the Italian matrix to convince the most (maybe we can mention Ciardo). Surely with more creative freedom and a more free approach to nature; the need of giving a
meaning to the work, the capability to create an lyric intimism . There
is creative freedom in his works, a new way to page the landscape, and
to express it; I would like to mention a meaningful work “moving landscape
“ which not only makes acknowledge Fersini as an adult artist, but makes
his investigation supposed of a great possibility of evolving.
To his evolution it contributes the cultural interests the author cultivates; specially genuine master graphics and strip, investigations that bring him to an attentive analysis of drawing and its expressing possibilities in figuration. Finally, among his artistic production there are the portraits, in this figurative investigation Fersini offers us a female characters gallery which remembers us the great figures, hieraticly sculptured, in the southern great writers' literature. They remember me the women of Carlo Levi, a great writer, maybe a little forgotten. So Fersini has decided to make the great step, that is to enter by right the artistic complex stage through high level exhibitions, to receive the acknowledgements due to his seriousness as an artist, to reach the national confirmation of his creative qualities and all the regard statements he has received till now confirmed. I want to mention a nice evidence of the artist: “every day I improve my relationship with art, hoping something will remain to attest the challenge with the grey.
