| . .. | It seems it has been unlocked the Menarini
talks, the Tuscany pharmaceutical firm, featured by 1.860 billion sales.
It has in fact undersigned an agreement between the company and trade unions,
thanks also to the mediation of the Tuscany Region. The agreement seems
finally to unlock the situation and foresees, on a hand, the employment
safeguard and, on the other hand, the performance of a plan to strengthen
and relaunch the Florentine firm. Focus points of the project are the diagnostic
activity resettlement, to be centred in the province of Pisa, the closure
of the plant of Guidotti (also at Pisa) and the specialisation of the Firma's
Florentine plant in the beta-lactaman antibiotics production.
