CHANGES INTO THE PHYSICIANS CODE OF "HONOUR"

. ..  Approved on October at Montecatini by the Fnom (Physicians and Surgeons Associations National Federation) the New Ethical Code that replaces the 1995 one and that must be adopted by the Federation Central Committee. Among the more important reported changes there are some adopted in order to face the privacy (the patient will be called generically 'assisted person' or 'citizen'), or those directed to a better employ of the resources (as a greater attention prescribing medicines, therapies or too expensive analysis being them not strictly needed). It is to report that the new code foresees the “absolute prohibition to the physician to use not proved efficacy therapies “. A word to the wise.
