It's
going on the successful season of musicals, and after Grease, here it is
staged 'Seven brides for seven brothers'. It is a spectacle in no way inferior
to the musicals beyond the Alps.
An
explosion of cheerfulness and colours goes with, on the scene, the protagonists
of the musical 'Seven brides for seven brothers' , set in Oregon in 1850.
And here the unrestrained brothers Pontipee. Six good rough mannered country
boys, but good hearted , looked after by the elder, Adam (alias Raffaele
Paganini). And with them, on the scene, the seven 'pretenders' and brides-to-be
twirl, sing and dance in a frenzy of emotion involving all the audience.
The story is intriguing and with coup de théâtre. Adam Pontipee tired of looking after his six brothers decides he needs to get married. During a stage in town he meets Milly (alias Tosca) a young beautiful girl who works in an inn. |
He
states she is the ideal woman to help him to do the daily housework in
the ranch and mainly to manage the six unrestrained boys. When she gets
to the ranch Milly realizes she has not only a husband but also six brothers
in law too to look after. In few time Milly understands that the only way
to have a bit of family privacy is to find a wife for everyone of her brothers
in law. She teaches them the rudiments of good manners and the opportunity
to seek a wife arises during the village festival.
The spectacle formula is a certainly successful one, there's everything : imagination, love, rhythm, and a contagious cheeriness that make the spectacle really sparkling.
