Harry Prosen is Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health Sciences, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Usa.
He was born and raised in Canada and received his Medical Degree and a Master of Science degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada.
He began his psychiatric residency in Manitoba and completed it at the University of Chicago, USA. He became the Head of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Manitoba in 1975 and held the position until 1987.
He then moved to the Medical College of Wisconsin to take up his present position.
He is also Adjunct Professor in the Department of Cultural and Social Sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee.
Dr. Prosen has conducted clinical research on the life cycle, intergenerational conflicts, and psychotherapy.
He writes and speaks on health care and educational matters in psychiatry and the neurosciences.
He is a member of several editorial boards.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Prosen is presently involved in the Department of Psychiatry's Division of Organizational Psychiatry and Corporate Health.
He is co-director of a newly established center to study aging and development.
