 There's
a super-bacterium around, furthermore an hyper-bacterium, more dangerous
than the already well-known Visa, the money, sure, just 'him' - and not
“it”, having already striking customized semblance... Said this way, the affair must seem the begin of a crusade against money at the end of the second millennium and so backward-looking, idealist, utopian, unreal, foolish and maybe decadent even not decayed. Crusades against Mummy God are as old as the hills and so... Let's set apart crusades and face instead the neither too much steep banks of a reasoning. Concerning football. Maybe someone remembers the 1982 world championship, won in Spain by the National team of Enzo Bearzot and for the third time, after the two won in the Mussolini's' period in 1934 and 1938,. The captain was Zoff, one of the standard bearers Tardelli. By these times I had my troubles for the enquiry concerning the ill-famed match Italy-Cameroon, a suspicious tie and than a bought result. After the victory it came out also that the azure got with them, even on the Pertini's presidential aeroplane, with whom they played cards memorably, the premium of dollars over witch the did not indented to pay taxes...and it would be much more to tell. All that to say that it was an Event under any point of view. And naturally it was by the political point of view.  There

I 'm not the only to assert that, before me a well-know player told it, a defender of the Parma and a stalwart/little stalwart of the National Team, Fabio Cannavaro, Zoff has stressed it, that Zoff, world champion with Pertini and current coach of the National Team, Tardelli has countersigned it, that Tardelli, hero in Spain and nowadays coach of the Under 21 national team. Cannavaro substantially says that football is being milked dry and only for money. Zoff complains that the interests of Juventus, Milan etc. overwhelm the National team as regards to space and attention, Tardelli furthermore invokes the intervention of politics and Parliament. And so the circle closes. So: policy uses and misuses instrumentally a social-cultural sector as the popular fervour for a sport result is. It takes advantage of it, sure, but it does not changes basically its DNA. That instead is changed, I would say unnaturally, or at least modified against itself by the invasive economic interests. Economy defeats Policy, in football as anywhere in this end of the century and the millennium, and we are all under risk, since if the world moves following the direction of money, without any control and the filter of policy, that is anyhow the expression of the popular will (taking into account all the subtle distinctions), for us it will be as for the National Team of Zoff.  |
