Anyhow it goes on or it has ended the event of the Missione Arcobaleno I think there are some considerations to keep still.  
The first one is that it remains an impressive humanitarian operation due to Italians' kind heart (128 billions from their pockets) and the vital forces of the voluntary services. 
The second one is that the mission established since the beginning in an equivocal way: as you surely remember, in fact, the midwife has been the Prime Minister's office, D'Alema, under the aegis of the trio Bobbio/Montanelli/Scalfari, “testimonials” of the whip-round. Now, that some no governmental organization deals with the human assistance as usual is a matter, that the same government making the war with the right makes charity  with the left at the same time is another matter. The equivocal underlies also the fact, if the scandal comes to light, it would be madness to minimize it politically and it's madness not to foresee that the opposition will not take advantage politically from it. 
The third consideration concerns that he that lives by he heart, shall die by the heart: simply I want to say that if to recollect 128 billions one must appeal to feelings and not to reason, it is not reasonably thinkable that it could be analyse the extent of the case in cold blood. No at all, it can be explained the sequence of events but it cannot be justified the very deep wound inflicted to the good will of masses of donors, the cranks in the reliance relationship developed under the aegis of solidarity.  
These impressive emotional blows to the common feeling are undervalued, and deemed as setbacks, paradoxically adding emotional damage to the damage: if neither you that has come to asking me to done are aware of the seriousness of the fact, why should I rely on you again? 
The fourth and by now the last consideration concerns the behaviour deserved to the event by the media. It has come to light in a splendid way the concept that nowadays underpins the entire information system: I mean that of considering news exclusively as they were munitions to be employed  as follows: if “Il Giornale”, or “Panorama”, or some news bulletins by Mediaset “shoots” at the scandal, it's to favour the leader of the Polo at the opposition. If almost all the other newspapers, radio and TV first keep silent, then minimize and finally, in desperation, admit something it was only to accuse the political and media opponents of instrumental use, and they do that since they are more or less evident government's press offices. 
Who reads may think: that's a good discovery! It is already well known that it's like that. Maybe it's known, but I do not think it is known enough, surely it is not said or it's said reluctantly. Well then, all that has had its highest triumph with the Missione Arcobaleno and its “divulgation  method” seems to point out a terminus, since it adds to the saturation of dependent, conditioned and manipulated press that very deep emotional disappointment I talked about above. But to say, prove and cry out that this must be the terminus of this ruinous custom, it would be necessary a newspaper...so, if you can and you want to do it, put it about.
