Eighteen-years-old in paediatrician's cure?

Over some years the Italian health is in the eye of the storm among scandals, structural lacks and inefficiencies. Furthermore, legislative level, some proposals rise a lot of perplexities. In fact government is discussing the possibility to extend the free selected paediatricians' competencies (those of the National Health Service, to be clear) to patients till eighteen years old; the project seems to aim to a widest introduction of paediatricians into the public health, finding obviously the opposition of family doctors, who will lose part of customers. The case is complex and now it must wait for the government moves.
