CURRICULUM VITAE OF MAURILIO MISSERE

Born in Bologna in 1962, Dr. Missere graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna in 1987, specializing in Occupational Medicine in 1992.

1988. Frequented the "Istituto di Patologia Medica II e Medicina del Lavoro" at the University of Bologna/Policlinico St. Orsola, as a student and then as a post-graduate, participating in both routine Departmental activities and in research.

1989. Trained in the "Associazione Nazionale Tumori solidi" (A.N.T.)’s specialist home-based oncological assistance updating course at the Oncology clinic directed by Prof. F. Pannuti at Bologna’s Ospedale Malpighi.

1990. Post-graduate studies at St. Orsola hospital’s Ultrasound Diagnosis department under the auspices of Prof. G. Gasbarrini

1996. Scholarship grant at the Occupational Medicine diagnostic headquarters for research on the neuromuscular pathology of the upper extremity.

1992. Activities as occupational physician in the laboratories and out-patient depts. of the "Istituto di Patologia Medica II e Medicina del Lavoro" at the University of Bologna in a voluntary capacity.

1989. As a consultant in general medicine, was part of an A.N.T. Group for domiciliary specialist oncological assistance, operating in the Bologna area.

1996. In charge of the Ultrasound out-patients dept. at the Villa Maria di Bologna nursing home.

1996. Practiced out-patient specialist ultrasounds at the Southern Bologna Radiology Service.

1996. Has been functioning as assistant managing specialist at the St. Orsola occupational medicine service company (Malpighi), including Radio-protection activities.

• Has lectured on Medical Pathology and Clinical Therapy in Nursing courses for the Italian Red Cross in Bologna (1989-1990) and subsequently on Preventive and Occupational Medicine in Nursing courses at Bologna’s "Ospedale Maggiore" (1994-1995).
• Since 1997, has been contracted Lecturer with the Occupational Medicine Specialization School, University of Bologna.

Maurilio Missere is co-author of more than 80 scientific publications published in National and International journals.
