| Alicia Mignone is presently the Scientific Attaché and Energy Advisor to the Permanent Delegation of Italy to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, holding this position since February 1997. She oversees the OECD extensive activities in the fields of science, new technologies, biotechnology, energy and information society, with responsibilities entailing interaction with and reporting to all OECD bodies dealing with the above issues and coordination with the assigned Italian administrations and institutions. In this capacity she participated in International Teams for the in-depth Reviews of the Energy Policies of the IEA Member Countries. Organized and prepared Ministerial-Level Meetings on Science & Technology (1999, 2004); Energy (1997, 1999, 2001, 2003), and Scientific Seminars in Paris to communicate “high-stakes” Italian Projects and Programs in an OECD context. Organized and promoted Workshops and lectures to disseminate OECD Science & Technology and Energy work in Italy. She holds several international positions: Vice Chair of the Committee on Energy Research and Technology of the International Energy Agency; Member of the Steering Committee of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency; Delegate to the Committee of Scientific and Technological Policy and to the OECD Global Science Forum. As Senior Scientist of the Italian Agency for Energy, Environment and
New Technologies (ENEA) in Rome, Italy, she organized and provided both
long-term and daily direction of a Team of research scientists working
in areas of Advanced Materials. Mrs. Alicia Mignone is author of more than sixty scientific publications.
She holds an advanced degree in Chemistry from the University of Buenos
Aires. |
