The 17th World Congress of the International Society for Heart Research is to be held in Winnipeg, Canada, from July 6th to 11th. Congress is addressed to professionals involved in cardiovascular research, heart surgeons, cardiologists and academics from as many as 120 countries. Over the past 50 years, more progress has been made in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease than had been achieved throughout the history of mankind. Yet, heart disease is still the leading cause of death on a global scale.
Good science and hard are keys to helping everyone discover, explore and conquer the many frontiers we still face. The exploration must continue as much work remains. The scientific program includes 63 sessions on many topics concerning technological development and latest results of the research.
