| It has been a glorious
weekend for the Italian motorcycle racers at the Imola Gran Prix. In the
class 250, before 35000 spectators, Valentino Rossi arrived first, ahead
of Capirossi and Perugini. Max Biaggi, the best Italian motorcyclist since
Agostini, consoles himself with his record for the class 500. His third
place in this race, enables him to keep a four lengths’lead over Mick Doohan,
winner of the Grand Prix. With these two champions the final race promises
to be very exciting.
