As it was well expected,
since the mistakes of 15 days ago in the Spain G.P., Max Biaggi leaves
the title of the 500 class to Mick Doohan. The Australian conquers his
fifth consecutive title just in his origin country, Australia, in front
of an enthusiastic public. The champion's undertaking is special if you
think that, at the middle of the season, partnered by an unbridled
Biaggi, he was taking in account to retire. The incentive that convinced
him to fight again for the iris, since 4 seasons of absolute tyranny on
circuits, was just the roman racer. The squabble between the two
protagonists of the world championship have given interest to a championship
otherwise foregone, a poison verbal against the rival of so many battles.
"Biaggi has disputed a great season. But he cannot take me as reference.
To lay a trap to my throne, first he must think in being more constant
". So the last word is usually up to the winner. This point, Loris Capirossi
too hopes to have the last word, since he is more and more nearby the 250
title. The day Valentino Rossi has reached his third consecutive
victory in the same category, the other azzurro manages better the fall
of the French Harada, and overcomes him at the top of the results for 4
points. So all will be decided at the last race, in Buenos Aires, at the
Argentina GP. Here Capirossi, after having practically chased for
the whole season, will have the possibility for the first time to manage
the situation, allowing himself to reason in terms of result. The breathless
chaser script goes to Harada. The one who will study better the new rôle,
will be the one who will celebrate the 250 title. Meanwhile the talent
of the very young as well as nice Rossi becomes the Italian future reference.
