.TENNIS: SAMPRAS MOCKED BUT HAPPY THE SAME

He performed flashes of sci-fi tennis, the one that only the world number one is able to perform continuously notwithstanding the already ascertained physical form troubles. Sampras falls however at Paris - Bercy just at the finishing line defeated by the Britain Rusedski, but he can the same barter this defiance with the mathematics tennis supremacy; for the fifth consecutive year he will end the season as the world number one. With only a Slam tournament conquered (Wimbledon), the American champion succeeds in keeping on in saddle notwithstanding the swinging eleven months among physical troubles and inaccurate trying. The defeat undergone at the Bercy finals in only three sets have never been so flat since more than two years; some way or other nobody has ever succeed in surprising Sampras without finding a numerical opposition.
Furthermore, Rusedksi in the direct matches was under 0 to 6. Having tipped over predictions this way, let's make two hypothesis; on one side Rusedski could play a simply perfect tennis and annihilate the first world player. On the other side Sampras, once reached the purpose of keeping on being the leading player even at the end of this tormented and tricky season, has unconsciously felt a loss of tension, mainly psychological level, that have heavily conditioned his ability to react to a so flat defeat. On the other side being only 26 years old, with already 11 Slam tournaments won  and some ten billions gained, it's quite normal to measure out purposes. The Pete's minimum one was to equal the legendary Jimmy Connors, despot of the world tennis for five consecutive years (between 74 and 78). Now the American has succeeded in being another legend, it is possible to bet that we will see him again in a proper physical form when another page of the tennis history will be written!
