Marcello Lippi is,
among others, an indirect protagonist of another event of sporting chronicle,
absolutely staggering. Indirectly, since it seems rather possible, not
to say that it's sure, that the current white-black coach will prepare
the Moratti's Inter next season. It's a news, circulating in the footballer
world since weeks, and naturally it cannot bring positive results to both
sporting companies. Better than Juve, the black-azure team has responded
to the news more concretely , and seems it could give Simoni a lapse
of calm, after the victories over the Real in Champions League and
the last, more than troubled in championship over the Salernitana. Instead,
it has been reached the paradox by which, while the 59 years old Gigi was
receiving at Coverciano from the colleagues the Golden Trainer's Bench
as the better coach of the last season, Moratti opted his premature exemption,
trust the Rumanian Lucescu with the trainer's bench. Missing out
just the qualities and the means of the new trainer, who has quite disastrous
experiences behind him at Brescia ant at the Reggiana, nevertheless it
arouses more perplexities the abrupt change of course wanted by the black
azure main manager in this particular moment. Moratti has had till now
many theoretical opportunities to achieve this solution before the limit;
he has withstood till now more than one instinctive motion when results
did not arrive. Now the Inter was running more than ever at all fronts,
having Simoni redress the situation, his dismisall really appears absurd.
If there was somebody who deserved to bring the team till Lippi, this was
certainly Gigi of Crevalcore. For the results till now reached (1 Uefa
Cup and a very close shield), for having perseveringly worked the sword
of Damocles hanging over his head and also having accepted a time situation,
psychologically ruinous, without the possibility of programming anything
since he knew he was on the launching pad. From this fair of the unbelievable,
the figure of Simoni gets out certainly tormented, but nevertheless reliable;
last summer he asked Moratti for containment players that never arrived.
Moratti purchased overall forwards as Ventola, Pirlo and Baggio. Just the
inventor, the most loved by Italians, most loved inventor and his super
performance , even if part-time against the Real, have irritated
the president, supporter of a front drive Inter, being at the opposite
pole maybe respect the team Simoni had in mind. Just this is the
trouble. We must simulate to believe that Moratti and his collaborators
did not know the ideas about football of the Cremonese trainer, since more
than 30 years in football world? It would not be believable and also it
would be few edificant for a great sporting company as Inter is and for
its chief manager, who is mainly relying by now on the easy dismissal of
coaches (already 6 in 4 years) to renew the past paternal pomp, behaviour
that also featured the great Angelo before Herrera the Wizard arrived.
